An interesting thing to notice: If you look at the phrases and words connected to other clefs there is the same basic pattern: (E, G, B, D, (F) A C E) Starting with Every Good Boy Does Fine and then adding F A C E a step above the E will work on all staffs in one form or other. Also notice: Good Boys Do Fine Always is simply the Every Good Boys phrase without the E and an added A at the top. Also see how it cooresponds to the pattern above. |
For the Alto Clef, simply shift the Every, Good, Boy, phrase down a step from its original position on the treble clef and you have the spaces starting from below the staff. F A C E is shifted up to the lines a step up from the E. |
F A C E , Every Good Boy Does Fine Good Boys Do Fine Always All Cows Eat Grass |
For the Tenor Clef, simply shift the Every, Good, Boy phrase up a step from its original position on the treble clef and you have the spaces starting from the first space on the bottom. F A C E is shifted up to the lines a step up from the E. |
